[sdiy] Wire insulation choices

No problem with a little bit of molten insulation - it's better for
the wire since it seals it off and therefore prevents decay, as well
as worms slithering into your conductors (ok I'm making this part up)

If you're worried about the graphic aspect of the thing, use teflon
sleeves or heatshrinks for the wire ends. Teflon sleeves allow easier
servicability but might not sit just as fine, heatshrink sits tight
but makes resoldering a bit of a pain. It's your funeral.

With regards to the wire itself, get the most flexible stuff ever - if
you're like most people here, you'll be bending them all the time when
you're servicing the bits and pieces.
