[sdiy] Wire insulation choices

I'm using PVC (Farnell 1172858). No problems with melting. I think if my iron
temperature were too high, or the time spent for each solder joint too long,
such that the cable insulation would melt, the switches and potentiometers would
be in danger of overheating as well.

I don't like Teflon - it's so hard to strip off the wire.
