I have a client who wants to get one if anybody has one FS. I'm going
to snipe the one on ebay otherwise for him probably :-). Nice Dx100 I
just went over..

Somebody asked a while back if I had a cz101 btw. I just got one fixed
up for buy/sell in Eugene and not sure what they'll want to part with it
for. I have a bunch of stuff to bring back to them... I'm also going to
deliver a bunch of stuff hopefully on the coast..Korg Lambda, Gibson
G101, Solina, Polysix's, Chroma Polaris all in fully worked shape. The
gibson's fabric is worn on corners and the top was a mess. Wish I could
find that green fabric. Anybody have some in their back room? :-)

Anyway the update on the contact repair kits. 26.00 including shipping
for now looks like it'll work for 75 contact repair disks. These have
again 3M adhesive that will reliably hold them to cleaned contact
surfaces that are defective. Allowing you to reface the contacts in old
OB-8, memorymoog, polysix, mono/poly, dw6000, K2000, DPM series, Kawai
SX210, 80's Roland products in general, Post pratt read SCI products
except T8 of course... and maybe VS..not sure what it used...and I think
Multi-trak because it has concentric ring contacts right? Anyway at
least all of those I'm aware of off the top.

I've personally tried to use the paints which is why I developed this
solution. I got iffy results due rough surface on drying probably..but
also some failed over time... NOT to mention the expense and or
inconvenience of mixing a 40 dollar batch of it at once that has lame
shelf life. (Ie. how many contacts can you work into your schedule to
do in 72 hours? hehe. Typically a tech needs the contacts fixed NOW.
And there might only be one or two that absolutely need it! So what do
you do blow 40 dollars and the mix time? Or just grab a couple .30 cent
tabs and stick them on and move on...not to mention lack of need for
drying time...) So I figured a more integrable solution might be good.
This material is only available with a mil contract as it was developed
for NASA. It's really awesome. Same resistance parameters as the
original surface but only .0016" thick. Tough. Very hard to cut..
These come pre-punched for the shape of the typical contacts we're
dealing with.

Anyway get pre-orders in and let me know how many of these to get
prepped. BLessings, -Bob Weigel/ 406-582-5849 afternoons mountain time.
