[sdiy] Polysix tuning and manual errors

Hey list, got another polysix fixed up, was going to tune it and of course it started sounding completely deranged and now i can't even get back to the original (bad but at least semi-useful) tuning.

I've of course read the service manual but there seems to be a whole lot of errors in it.

In step 4, point (6) - "KBD Track Adjustment. Set OCTAVE to 16', connect DVM to CN05-6 and adjust KBD TRACK VR to obtain +1.6" - the original reading i get on CN05-6 is something like -4.9V and there is - as far as i can tell - no "KBD TRACK VR" on any of the circuitboards. Anyone know which pot they mean?

The next two steps in the manual goes as follows
"1) C1 ~ C2 should sound aproximately like a scale"
"2) Adjust VR5 if necessary"
Apart from the (obvious) fact that there's no real scale (one octave inbetween every 12th key instead of every 13th) VR5 does NOTHING - i hear no difference at all in the tuning offset or relative tuning scale(s).

The point after that says
"1) Change circuit board slide switch to opposite position. (away from VR1)"
What is this supposed to do? I hear no difference at all...

Now even in some steps before the tuning i can't make certain settings happen, for instance the -5V lies around -4.75V on the highest voltage trimpot setting.

In step (3) of the resonance calibration it seems like they've confused CN05-7 and CN05-11 with eachother.

Any help VERY appreciated!!

Thanks

Karl
