[sdiy] PCB fab house to make synth panel?

There are lot's of great options for getting a pcb done super cheaply.
This usually involves a silkscreen layer and cnc accurate
drilling/cutting.

All these tools are perfect for getting a custom synth panel made. Why
don't they offer the same services for small aluminum panels? You
could do the layout in a pcb program and submit gerber files so that
all they have to do is slip in an aluminum panel instead of a board.

Maybe this service already exists somewhere?

The only catch is you would need a minimum of about 10 panels for it
to be economical... this is still cheaper than metalphoto.
