Howdy,
 I used to , actually still do, make piezo transducers with Radio Shack part #273-064 or 064a. Just wire it straight up to a guitar type cable and plug it into the mixer. I used to tape 2 of them to the back of the soundboard of the old upright piano I used to have. depending on where I taped them to the piano, I got some downright nice sounds. You can use as many as you think you need if you are using a mixer. Used them extensively on the soundboard of my homemade harps. Put them out in the wind and let them play. Record a bunch of tapes and then stack them up with a multi track machine. Sounded way cool. You might want to give it a try.
