PCB Cart shipping times (Was: [sdiy] Importance of electrical test atPCB manufacturing?)

I've actually recently thought that their lead times were getting a bit
longer -> you submit your files, takes c.24 hours for them to process
and send you the gerber confirmations (I use Eagle so maybe that's
different for other software?) but then it sometimes takes a few days
before you get the proper 'start-of-work' confirmation. Also note that 7
or 8 days is working days.. So, for example, my current order was placed
Monday 28th Sept, confirmation of files took place the following day,
but the proper confirmation email only came through yesterday (tues 6th
Oct) - work is due to be completed Thurs Oct15th. If they get the order
sent out by the 16th then I should get it early the following week
(Fedex to UK) but sometimes they may not ship 'til the Monday.. Yeah, 3
days shipping is usually about right.
Not that I'm complaining really.. Just seems to have taken a little
longer recently I think. Still I think they're pretty much the best
option to go with.
Hope that helps a bit,,
