[sdiy] Importance of electrical test at PCB manufacturing?

Whether I use electrical testing or not depends on the board complexity.
With Four layer or more boards I usually go for electrical testing but I
can't remember it ever being that expensive!  I have also had one occasion
where a board that was supposedly tested came back with two tracks shorted,
this made me think whether electrical testing from this company was worth
anything at all!  George

How important is it to do an electrical test when manufacturing PCBs? I'm
going to do a batch of 30 boards and i'd really like to skip the $140 test
fee if it's not necessary..
