What I use at work is a Teflon / PTFE tape in such an application. Cut and shape with an exacto knife whatever you need to fit around your driver, then bend some of the excess around the barrel of the driver to encourage longer lasting adhesion.
Note that this is not the same type of PTFE tape used in plumbing applications. This should be much thicker, and of course includes an adhesive. I didn't find an example for you with a quick google search, but i did visually identify the same tape in some of the images. If you're interested i'll look into where we source it on monday.
