Perhaps it should be "Tim Splunge" in this case, eh?

So, what you're saying is that, for a Tricore, one could either reset the
trigger (as I do in my own designs) or reset the integrator by, what,
putting a JFET switch across the cap as per the Sawcore, but only firing it
with a sync pulse?  Hmmm...  Veddy intedestink!  One could even subtract the
triangle voltage from the sync pulse to vary the opening of the JFET channel
with an attenuator (just as I do with my sync circuits already).

Eck-tually... it wouldn't be all that hard to build a VCO which was
either/or, now that I look at the circuitry of the two side by side.
Definitely food for thought...
