[sdiy] R/2R array source??

recently i have become aware that there are R/2R array chips, which seem like a very useful thing to have on hand!

however, although mouser shows many in its catalog, they all the 8bit arrays have minimum buys of 451!!

so..does ANYONE know where to get R/2R array chips (in 8 bit/16 pin styles) in america?

the Murata web site does not sell direct

but there might be other brands?
