Actually, saw<->tri morph does produce the same comb filtering effect pwm 
produces. Saw<->tri morph is equivalent to integrating pwm afterall.
The reason it sounds much less interesting is because of the extra 6dB/oct 
falloff. The higher frequencies are masked much more and any formant peaks 
(which brain is very sensitive to due to humans evolving speech) are 
much less prominent compared to the first few harmonics.
