Thank you all for you're great insights on this subject.
I decided to keep the 28AWG for jumping from board to board (like say in
the 9090 project).
I bought 24AWG to go from the PCB to the pots/panel, can't find any 22
AWG in Belgium... (It's 10EUR for a set of 8 colors from velleman)
