[sdiy] Multiple idea

They are a Y connector with one male and two female.

BTW they are available in stereo (and more common), these can be used for mono if one of the
plugs is mono as well (think of it...)

Without a picture, I'm left wondering what these are. Can you shed a 
little more light on this?
