Indeed it is. It's a very breadboard-friendly synth chip. You've got  
a 16-bit uP and a dual-channel 16 bit DAC which runs up to 100KHz.  
You can make envelope generators, LFOs, mod sources of many  
varieties, oscillators, etc etc. Plus 6 analog channels in for CVs.  
Great fun.
