[sdiy] soldering with air conditioner?

I have a rig like that, using an old server fan to blow things along. I went cheap and got a plastic tube though, but nothing smoldering flies down it, so it all works out.

The system is not unlike a portable AC unit, with the exhaust hose hooked up to the window:
