I wish I had more time to put these docs into some sort of usable archive.
It is all hardcopy and takes time to scan and clean-up the docs to be
readable in some cases. Many of my documents are blue-prints and don't scan
well.
Still it is good to see hungry minds looking to see what we did with our
time back in the 70's and 80's.
I personally hate the Yamaha synth products as they were really poorly
constructed and don't survive rough handling at all. Not bad sounding just
cheap plastic and phenolic pcb's.
My personal favorite is the Modular Synth's as it lent more individual
expression and not just something that sat on an organ or Rhode's piano.
My gear was built like it should last for 10 to 20 years of use and in many
cases they are still in use. Similar to the Hammond B3 / C3 situation. God I
love the Hammond and Leslie combo. What a sound.
I find it interesting that our synths we built back in that period are still
commanding a high dollar on ebay. I guess we did a few things right.
Check out our new web site http://www.imx31synth.info. We are just getting
started on this. This is a follow on to the http://Chameleon.synth.net
project.
