[sdiy] learning from other digital sdiy projects?

the reason i need a high freq clock is for bit crushing/aliasing i want the sound to be able to start sounding NICE (or well sampled at a HIGH RATE) and then as the pot turns for it to get down to lower sample rates

but for qunatizing a much slower clock is better it seems

thanks

I think some of this depends on What conversion chips you are using. I have a nice parallel quad 8-bit DAC which is SO easy to use, I think it may be from either TI or maxim-ic. Like I said, what chips are you using?
