[sdiy] Alesis MIDIVerb IV service notes?

Are these units built up with the AL1101 - AL3201B - AL1201 chipset? If so,
read on.

I made a Single Chip Delay module for my Formant Modular using this chipset.
No MIDI control, but if your strange behaving module is built around the
chipset mentioned abve the signal path should be similar. I would check the
following things:

1.) Are there any audio signals (no noise) at pin 1 and 2 (and 15 and 16) of
the AL1101 ADC (stereo)

2.) Is there a sync pulse from the AL3201B DSP pin 9 to AL1101 ADC pin 9 and
AL1201 pin 9? This pulse synchronizes the converter chips and makes the ADC
providing a bit stream from a stereo sample and the DAC converting a bit
stream into 2 audio values (stereo)

3.) Is there a bit stream between the AL1101 pin 10 and the AL3201B pin 16?
(input)

4.) Is there a bit stream between the AL3201B pin 1 and the AL1201 pin 7?
(output)

5.) Are there any audio signals (no noise) at the pins 1, 2, 15 and 16?
