May I suggest that you have a search for Floyd's "Digital Fundamentals".
 I have a copy of this book that I acquired through eBay - a good
reference on all the stuff that I should know but tend to forget through
lack of use.

If you aren't from a digital background, this could be very useful for
you when you need to wander into that territory.
