Uses a 14bit serial DAC, 0.5-1 LSB INL depending on grade.  Overall 
accuracy including opamps, S&H, etc. ended up within 2 cent over a 15 
octave range.  And having all those 'spare' bits means things like pitch 
bend, envelopes, LFOs can be done 100% in software.

Not cheap, but then again they have a nice 'Sample' button....
