Hi Everybody-

The recent talk about MIDI state machine diagrams got me motivated to take a stab at it.  I'm in the process of making a MIDI to Prophet-5 digital interface and I have an immediate need for a useful MIDI state machine model to code from.  You can find my attempt at a nested MIDI state machine diagram (along the lines of Harel Statecharts and/or UML) at:

If you're interested, please look it over and comment.  It represents *my* understanding of how MIDI works.  It may be incorrect but I'd sure like to know if it's wrong or how the diagram can be improved.  Keep in mind the scope of MIDI support is limited to what is drawn.  I expect it to tolerate unsupported MIDI messages without any problems.
