Truly, and that's why I like to learn about such things as Don pointed out.

Even with a score of multipliers, there's always going to be that "If I had _one_ more
multiplier" situation, if such clever techniques are understood, one can sometimes
deal with those scenarios using lesser hardware.  I know a few such tricks (shifting
is an obvious one), but it can't hurt to learn more of them.
