Depends which ground the shield is connected to. If all jacks have
their sleeve connected to the same chassis ground that is separate
from the signal ground, star grounding is preserved.

This is how Oakley do it. It's the same 4-pin 0.156" connector as
MOTM but the 0 V pin adjacent to the -15 V is a chassis ground,
i.e. it's used solely for shieding. All the current goes through
the other 0 V pin (signal ground).
