[sdiy] MIDI to Arpeggio clock

I'm thinking of building a MIDI to Arpeggio clock circuit. Although  
amplifying the midi clock signal seems reasonable, I wonder about  
quantization. It would be cool to be able to run the arpeggiator clock  
signal at switchable intervals (2, 1, 1/2, 1/4, etc) and possibly pass  
the new midi clock signal to midi out/through.

Does anyone know of a graceful solution to this problem?
