[sdiy] uh-oh..etchant saftey???

yes i feel stupid as the more i read about this stuff it seems unlikely this is the problem.
one problem with this 'shop" is that it is a tiny tiny room. with a giant radiator. so the room gets very very hot.

i just wonder if something in the room is reacting to the constant heat.

the only odd chemical was the etchant and the nail polish remover.
other than that there are just thousands of caps, resistors, pots, computers, my modular, empty tins and boxes for projects, bin after bin of stuff,etc.

i keep all food out.

so with this many items in a small , hot, room, when an all pervading plasticy scent comes to  town, what do you do? take out every last electronic component and see if the problem is solved?
