Hi Julian

> Id buy an 808 again if it could swap between write and play whilst still running.... : )
its more important that you would buy the addon. :-)

We had this discussion at the german forum of www.sequencer.de when
talking about the acidlab miami.

Klaus may sell around 100 "miami"'s within the next 5 years. I assume
his over all costs per piece are 400Euro net and he sells for 800Euro.
So he will earn 40000 Euros in 5 years, which is 5000 Euros a year -
pre-tax!

If he would do a perfect CPU-replacement for existing 808's, the
production costs would be maybe 60Euros and he could sell it for
300Euros. Lets assume there were 10000 808's produced by roland and he
now may have a potential market of 2000 customers. The most optimistic
calculation says are 480000Euros in five years (which is 96000 Euros a
year!!!) and even if he sells only 1/10th it would be still 9600 Euros a
year

Florian
