[sdiy] magsafe patch cables?

The power connector is held in place by a magnet. There is no "male/female" connection in the traditional sense. There are two "buttons" on the laptop and two buttons on the end of the cord on a small squarish connector. I don't know if there are two magnets or one magnet and a small piece of iron, but when you bring the connector buttons close to the laptop buttons, they snap together.

By the way, for those of us who don't come into contact with Apple
hardware (other than my eyeProd,) what's Magsafe?
