I first got known to the 726 while repairing my Korg Trident,
where it acts as a temperature controlled dual transistor,
responsible for the keyboard scaling.
I now have a tuning drift problem one of my Jupiter 4 voice boards,
and as I have two spare uA726HC, I thought giving it a try and replacing it on the problematic board.
Result - no voice !
Question 1:
So can I conclude that the uA726HC acts as an oscillator on the Jupiter 4, and does not have anything to do with tuning in that machine ?
Question 2:
Do I have FAKED uA726HC chips ???
What do you think ?...
