I'm living in a vortex on this one. I have a nice..proto board with
nice..power rails +-12V and variables and +5v. And I hook up the
SAJ110's as per the diagram which is in the manual for the Solina. No
signal out. I hooked them up with a variable supply after finding out
that 12V is actually over rating so 10V or so now. Still..no signal. I
keep swapping in chips. Surely they aren't all bad. They ALL pretty
much put out (save a few exceptions which probably are bad or...good how
knows :-) We scavenged them out of a stringman...) the same signal IF
you adjust the voltage down to like 5V or so. And it's nothing but a
shrunking version of the INPUT SIGNAL! No f/f division going on here folks!

Ok we tied 22K to all outputs and together on the other sides of the
resistors and I've tried tying to that to all points and nothing
changes. Vary the voltage and at some point it puts out what you are
putting in frequency wise.

OK so I bust out an MM5823 and hook it up like the Moog MG1 diagram
shows. Curiously..if the + rail is not hooked up (just VSS and VGG to
-12V) I actually get a divided signal on all outputs...albeit a weak signal.

What the heck is going on here? Any clues? This kind of stuff is
really slamming my lunch in the locker door of late :-) -Bob
