I had been wanting to do a VC-radio as a euro rack module. I've got a
whole bag of varactors to test/ experiment with... not had time yet. In
any case, I thought I'd mention this IC, because it would be pretty
simple to VC, however looks like FM only and expensive:

Available though, and it might be a pretty quick way to get something
like this going!
