If you're drilling holes in plastic enclosures, I've found it helps  
to start small and work up. If you go straight in with a large drill  
(say 10mm, about 4/10th inch) you risk the drill snagging in the  
hole. I shattered a plastic enclosure that way once, and I've messed  
up a few holes more by being impatient. It's much worse with blunt  
drills!
