[sdiy] basic stamp in music

I just got a few BS2 (basic stamp 2) development kits and have been  
having fun figuring out some of the basics.
I have no interest in robotics (which it seems most of the common  
projects are geared towards) and lots of interest in musical  
application.... sequencing, voltage control interfacing.
I'm eager to look into speech synth control and complex sampler IC  
interfacing but I figure there's a lot of cool projects out there.
Do any of you have some suggestions for musically related projects  
using the BS2??
