well indeed, my Arduino module is doing this right now :-)

a minimal version that just does clock conversion could be put 
together very easily and probably on the Ladyada prototyping shield 
even. a sketch which does various MIDI to analogue functions is 
available in the files section of the arduino_synth group @yahoo.

another option is the Blacet MIDI Sync preprogrammed PIC, but having 
taken that route a while back i strongly suggest talking to me first 
before doing any construction.
