[sdiy] best method for clocking modular to DAW?

Dan,

I usually set up one of my Roland drum machines to send out a trigger  
in the rhythm I want. I sync it up to the computer.

You could also try using an audio track with a sound even shorter than  
a hihat. Try drawing a positive only spike with the pencil tool.
