Hey Tim,

I think you nailed it. Looking back at video from last night's set, I 
noticed one VC input from my external matrix mixer with +/- 15V power 
that was halfway plugged into a module in my Doepfer rack (@ +/- 12V), 
meaning tip-signal of the external module was connected to ring-ground 
of a Doepfer module. I guess that would do it, although it's strange to 
me that a completely different module (and only that module) got 
burned...and I was still able to play the show with the mistake 
uncorrected.... Or maybe I should be thankful! ;-)

I'll have to be more careful in the future. When I was doing laptop 
performances, the worst that could happen was that the computer crashed...
