Hmmmm, did Ensoniq use Hall sensors for aftertouch at all? I seem to  
remember it was something different. Rainer?

A linear Hall sensor costs about 1$ (I think). Add the cost for a  
small magnet. For poly aftertouch this would increase the cost of a  
keyboard significantly.
