[sdiy] Buchla designs

Looking at various Buchla schematics, including some that look like they
were drawn on a napkin at a coffee shop, it occurs to me that these designs
must have used several small building blocks of circuitry with well know (to
Buchla) characteristics. With these memorized a new idea was easy to layout
in a schematic off the cuff and know it would most likely function as
intended, similar to designs today using ICs and or logic schematics.

It would be fascinating to see Buchla's schematics decomposed into these
building blocks with the operation and characteristics defined, it seems
that so much of the knowledge represented by his work was never captured and
documented, or at least not collected together as a cohesive set.

Just my thoughts,

- Jerry
