[sdiy] OT: Blackboards

Hi All,

I've been doing a lot of reading up on electronics, and circuits in
general and as a result I've been doing a lot of practice problems.
One thing I loved to do back in college when studying for a test was
to go find an empty classroom and use the blackboard to do a bunch of
practice problems. I was thinking how nice it would be if I could set
up a blackboard in my basement near my work area so I could do
problems or sketch out ideas. I've been thinking that maybe I could
get a nice big piece of plywood, sand it smooth, primer it, and then
paint it with that chalkboard paint stuff I've seen on various home
improvement shows. Has anyone ever used this stuff? Am I better off
going out and just buying a good sized blackboard? A whiteboard might
be cheaper but for me a blackboard has a better "feel" than dry erase
markers. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Dave
