I think if you are not going to drill the holes then you MUST provide a 
suitable punch mark or pilot hole. Most of the problem with drilling your 
own holes is getting them in the right place - especially when there is 
silk-screening around your pot to something.  A pilot hole would be best as 
this guarantees the drill will go in at the right spot, silkscreen 
crosshairs would be the other option but this will frustrate a lot of people 
who don't have a punch or just try to spot the drill by eye.
