The RAID setup should be all intact if You buy similar drive, it's
beyond my knowledge what is the actual format that USB storage
controllers happen to use.

Anyway, getting a bit of data (DD) out of both disks Mr. Amorel can
easily construct You a script that parses the data to the image. (No,
can't do Script-Fu ;)
