I got this on clearance from Lowes for about $170, and it's the best tool I've purchased!! (for projects like this w/ panels, or something w/ ventilation holes, etc)

I think it's been discontinued and replaced w/ a larger more expensive version. You might still be able to find one on clearance at a lowes.
Aluminum is relatively soft, so I've had no issue w/ even the cheapest harbor freight style drill bits. For sizes I use often, I do purchase better bits, but just whatever mid price bits look good at the local hardware store.

I gotta lotta holes to drill. My cordless drill attempts looks like a
drunken caveman just discovered what a drill is. And of course, I'm
only doing one of any project so it doesn't make a lot of sense to do
the Front Panel Express thing [although, that would be lovely].
What your best suggestion for something under $200? [and maybe your
choice of bits]
