[sdiy] Sequencers

Hey everyone.

I've got a question about analog sequencers. I have a Hex Zone, very nice, and an MFB Seq 02, but I'd like to have one with knobs. Nostalgia calls.

In my searching, I've found several different sequencers such as MFOS has a nice one with knobs, Synthisizers.com has a couple, and Doepfer, and of course the famous Klee (I sold my boards and parts kit because it really seemed to be more of an interactive control). But none quite fit my wants 100%. I have the MFOS boards and will probably build one for fun, but, I am confused. I'd love one with analog controls, like the MFOS, Doepfer, or .COM, but which also has an adjustable gate width and some hope of fitting into my rack. Does anyone know of a design I can cram into a FracRack size which has:

1. 16 steps (or more)
2. Adjustable gate width
3. Variable time between steps

I'd love some form of a DIY, but am not adverse to buying a pre-built module I can rearrange into a form factor I can fit in my rack.

Anyone know of such a beast?

David
