SV: [sdiy] Stuck mixer pots and reverb - two queries and an observation

Hi

Best of luck with the mixer.

First. For troublesome pots I use a lubricating spray contact cleaner. I believe the actual lubricant is kerosene.

Secondly. For mixing techniques and theories I recommend "Sound On Sound Magasine" (www.soundonsound.com) which in my opinion is *the* place to go regarding all sorts of studio practice. They are often doing series on subjects like mixing. Most articles will be available on the web site a few months after being published. You will also find lots of older reviews of mixers where you may gain useful knowledge.

Thirdly. A decent reverb is indispensable. I have nearly as many effects and processors in my studio setup as I have synths. And it's a synth studio ;-)

Best of luck exploring the great inner spaces of the S-200.

Kind regards

John
