Sorry, but I'm going to be negative in public.
I don't see the point of analog noise sources, or digital noise
sources based on a lot of logic chips and shift registers. You can do
a digital noise source with a simple 8-pin DIP microprocessor that
will give you much better noise quality than most analogue noise
sources. Anything else is just using up PCB space to no real purpose.
Once you've got your noise, you can do what you like with it (S&H,
comparators, random gates, etc). If it was me, I'd probably do this
digitally too - after all, why generate a gate with analog circuitry?
