I definitely agree, nice job Eric. It isn't hard to think of ten  
things to do with either of those.

That dsPIC audio DAC board looks like it could ease me into SMD. I've  
been using that chip as you know, but I've shied away from the SMD  
packages. Having a known-good board to get me started might be a way  
in for me.
