I was lucky enough to learn to fly in the late 80's and I'm happy to
say there are many female pilots in the UK, both commercial
and "hobby" fliers. I also remember some time ago being at the
International Air Tattoo in the UK which is our biggest display
of the year with mainly RAF and USAF aircraft but also many other
countries taking part. The spirit of the show award that year
went to the 3 crewmembers of a USAF Lockheed C141
"Starlifter" ......All women (2 pilots & 1 engineer). However I don't
believe
either the RAF or USAF have female combat pilots yet.
