[sdiy] How to continually blend from a parallel connection of thetwo multi-mode resonating filters?

Hi Michael

Thanks for your thoughts, most appreciated....Currently I have the
Ladder filter build, board for 1047 waiting for some parts to come in.
When that's done I'll patch the the filters into an existing vactrol
cross fader in another panel and see what makes sense. The multimode
filter will be patchable, but for the most part I also normalize the
inputs on my panels to what I think will be most useful - so not sure
which multimode I'd chose maybe hi-pass or bandpass???

As for running the two filters - good point - the Sherman has a way to
link the the main frequency controls- so that's probably a good idea
(thanks). As for divergence/spacing I think I'd go the Sherman route
which is having some combination inverting/non-inverting inputs
controls for frequency. This does get complex quite quickly-especially
with the multi modes. Have to admire Cynthia's solution :-) In any
case I'll do some experimentation with the 2 filters, crossfader and
some alligator clips before I commit to a panel design.

Here's what the panel design currently sits at (still missing a
frequency linking switch) http://davidleith.com/Panel-Design_3.gif

Really appreciate any comments from any and all on this. I'll keep you
posted on development. Slated to be finished this summer.

The vactrols do a number of different crossfading chores to blend
waveforms on the 259.
