[sdiy] How to continually blend from a parallel connection of the two multi-mode resonating filters?

You can do this with two linked cross faders. My brain has a sneaking suspicion you could do it with one but I can't quite figure it out.
Signal input connects to filter1 input and one side of xfader1 output of filter1 to xfader1 other side and xfader2
xfader1 output to filter2 input
filter2 output to other side of xfader2
use a double deck pot to control both and you have your continuous x'fadable series and parallel outs. I think there is an easier way to do this.

Subject: [sdiy] How to continually blend from a parallel connection of the two multi-mode resonating filters?
I own a Sherman Filterbank (http://www.sherman.be/) which has a nice
feature where one can continually blend from a series to parallel
connection of the two multi-mode resonating filters. Haven't seen this
elsewhere and it's a nice feature and never seen circuitry for this.
Other features which are quite standard is blending from HP->BP->LP -
it's not this feature I'm interested in...
Any ideas how this could be done?
Thanks
Dave
