FW: [sdiy] OT: gas powered soldering irons?

I have had a couple of the little butane irons, using cigarette lighter
butane refills to recharge them - not bad but the catalytic converter is
a fragile fibre affair and is a b1tch to light when damaged (torn).
I currently have an Antex GasCat 120p which seems a lot more robust,
still fits in my pocket (but only just when in case), and has
interchangeable tips for hot-air or hot-knife in addition to soldering.

No idea of air restrictions!
Ages ago I had a little Ni-Cad rechargeable thing - maybe an option?
